The first 72 hours

Power cuts rarely arrive at a good time. Scroll through three days without mains power, and what you’d reach for.

  1. Hour 0

    The lights go out.

It’s dark by teatime in November. Can you find a torch first time, without your phone?

  2. Hour 2

    Your phone is on 9%.

A charged power bank keeps you reachable for calls, texts and updates.

Which kit should I choose?

Essentials covers light, phone power, first aid and warmth. Advance adds a wind-up radio for news, a head torch, a lantern and tools for a longer outage. Full adds solar charging and shelter on top.

Do the kits include food or water?

No. Food, drinking water and medicines aren’t included, so you can choose what suits your household and keep it fresh. The plan card in every kit helps you list what to add.

How do I look after the kit?

Keep it somewhere cool, dry and easy to reach, and make sure everyone at home knows where it is. Charge the power bank and check battery dates every few months.

How do I pay?

Checkout is run by Stripe, so your card details never touch our site. Pay by card, or with Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device supports them.

Can I order more than one kit?

Yes. Choose how many on the payment page. Each order is for one type of kit, so to buy two different kits, place two orders.

How much is delivery?

Delivery options and costs are shown at checkout, before you pay.

Can I return my kit?

Yes. Under UK consumer law you can cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving it. Full returns details are shown at checkout.

Is Ready72Kit linked to the government?

No. Ready72Kit is an independent UK retailer, not affiliated with or endorsed by the UK Government.
